Franklin Square Kids Learn and Leap Into the Pool at URecFit

On the afternoon of Friday, July 10, students from Franklin Square Elementary/Middle School visited the UMB campus to learn about financial literacy at the School of Social Work, and enjoyed an afternoon swim at URecFit.

This six-week experience, as part of a summer camp developed by social studies teacher and UMB Carey School of Law graduate Kirk Crawley, Esq., and supported by UMB via the Office of Community Engagement and URecFit, is designed to expose local youth to careers in health, law, and human services while providing fun, fitness activities once a week on the UMB campus.

Students to Visit UMB Schools

The students will visit campus on Fridays from July 10 through Aug. 14. Visiting each UMB school and participating in activities that include simulation and practice lab tours, human anatomy activities, and more!
