Francis King Carey School of Law alumna Bettina Guevara ’05, receives the 2013 Impacto Award from Jose Bahamonde-Gonzalez, JD, associate dean for administrative affairs and compliance.
Guevara was the 2006 recipient of the U.S. Hispanic Youth Entrepreneur Education Organization’s Hispanic Hero Young Leader Award and was one of the youngest people to be elected president of the Maryland Hispanic Bar.
“We want to be visible,” Guevara said, referring to the nation’s Latino law students and attorneys. “I want to let everyone know that Latino lawyers can impact the legal profession.”
