The purpose of this course is to help participants identify and eliminate potentially hazardous conditions in their environment, recognize emergencies and make appropriate decisions for first aid care. It teaches skills that participants need to know in order to provide immediate care of a suddenly ill or injured person until more advanced medical care arrives. No prerequisites necessary. Participants receive a 2 year certification card upon successful completion of course.
The cost for each course is $50. Payment can only be made at the URecFit Business Desk on the 4th floor of the SMC Campus Center. Please bring confirmation email from The Elm to the Business Desk at time of payment. Please bring proof of purchase to the beginning of the Safety Education Class.
