Christine Callahan, PhD, LCSW-C, Named Chair of Financial Social Work Initiative
Christine Callahan, PhD, LCSW-C, research associate professor with the University of Maryland School of Social Work’s Financial Social Work Initiative (FSWI), has been named chair of FSWI. Callahan has been with the FSWI for 10 years, and came from nearly 20 years of clinical experience at the NIH Clinical Center in Bethesda working with individuals and families living with life-threatening and life-limiting illness and the impact on their financial well-being.
She succeeds Jodi Frey, PhD, LCSW-C, CEAP, UMSSW professor and chair, Social Work in the Workplace & Employee Assistance Sub-Subspecialization, and founder and faculty executive director, Behavioral Health & Well-being Lab Chair, who has been named associate dean for research at UMSSW and will remain a FSWI Steering Committee member.
