Associate Prof. Darren Whitfield Published in the International Journal of Environmental Research
Dr. Darren Whitfield, Associate Professor, and colleagues have a new paper published in a special issue of the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health on sexual and domestic violence and adolescent health that examined the associations between childhood sexual abuse and depression among Black sexual minority men in the Southeastern United States. Using data from the MARI Study, the authors found strong associations between experiencing childhood sexual abuse and depression as adults among participants.
