Hageman and Frey published in Journal of Evidence-Based Social Work

Dr. Sally Hageman, UMB PhD graduate and Assistant Professor at Idaho State and Dr. Jodi Frey, UMSSW Professor have a new paper published in Journal of Evidence-Based Social Work that explores whether health and debt variables are associated with Health Savings Account (HSA) ownership status. Using data from Dr. Hageman's dissertation from the National Longitudinal Surveys of Youth, the authors found that 75% of HSA owners did not have a chronic disease or health-related debt and that chronic disease status and debt are not significantly associated with owning a HSA.
