The School of Social Work's Family Welfare Research Department authored two reports in which the Maryland Department of Human Services submitted to the Maryland General Assembly. Natalie Demyan was the lead author on the Maryland Child Support Guidelines report that examines how child support orders are established as well as the outcomes of those orders. Haley Smith and Lauren A. Hall were lead authors on the Life after Welfare report which examines Maryland families who leave the Temporary Cash Assistance program.
