Assistant professor appointed as member of State Board of Nursing.
Ameera Chakravarthy, PhD '22, RN, ACNP-BC, FNP-BC, assistant professor and director of the Doctor of Nursing Practice Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner specialty, has been appointed as a member of the State Board of Nursing by Maryland Gov. Wes Moore. Her term runs until 2027. The board's mission is to preserve the field of nursing by advancing safe, quality care in Maryland through licensure, certification, education, and acountability for public protection.
