Assistant Professor Christabel Cheung presented “Implementing and Embodying Antiracist Approaches to Improve Behavioral in Adolescent & Young Adult Oncology” at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
After studying BIPOC AYA cancer patients — and asking them to share experiences when transparency, honesty and trust were violated — Cheung and her team of researchers made several recommendations that professionals can take “in terms of advancing anti-racist approaches.”
