Dr. Kerri Evans and BSW/MSW grad Nick Nemphos and social workers in agency have a new paper published in the Journal of Trauma and Loss that explores the ways in which Rohingya youth (a Muslim stateless minority from Myanmar) have experienced trauma.

Using data from interviews with foster care social workers, the authors found many experienced traumas included severe violence in home country as well as on the journey, many experinece loss of family and culture, and that arriving in the US left them with feelings of isolation.
