PhD student publishes article in The Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic, & Neonatal Nursing


Keisha Robinson, PhD student, authored an article, “Cross-Sectional Study of the Frequency and Severity of Traumatic Childbirth Events and How They Affect Maternity Care Clinicians,” published in The Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic, & Neonatal Nursing, a peer-reviewed nursing journal in the fields of obstetrical nursing, women's health nursing, and neonatal nursing. The article focuses on the frequency and severity of traumatic childbirth events and how they affect the professional practice and personal lives of maternity care clinicians, including registered nurses, certified nurse midwives, attending physicians, and resident physicians. The article is co-authored by retired faculty members Mary “Meg” Johantgen, PhD, RN, and Carla Storr, ScD, MPH; Yolanda Ogbolu, PhD '11, MS '05, BSN '04, CRNP, FNAP, FAAN, associate professor, chair of the Department of Partnerships, Professional Education, and Practice, and co-director of the Center for Health Equity and Outcomes Research; along with Joanna Gaitens and Robert Atlas from the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
