Kristen Rawlett, PhD, FNP-BC, FAANP, associate professor, was the lead author of the article "Sustaining Community-Engaged Public Health Research during the COVID-19 Pandemic And Beyond," published in the Feb. 20 issue of the International Journal of Nursing and Health Care Science.

The analysis explores the challenges of conducting community-engaged public health research with African-American adults who suffer from chronic diseases, a population at increased risk for COVID-19.

Co-authors included researchers from from Alaska, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Tennessee, and College Park, Maryland.
