Dr. Laurie Graham and Dr. Kyla Liggett-Creel have been awarded a grant from the Black Mental Health Alliance for Education & Consultation with funding from the U.S. Bureau of Justice Assistance to conduct an evaluation of an innovative community-based violence prevention program.

This three-year grant supports conducting a community-engaged evaluation of a community- and evidence-informed violence prevention program. This program aims to reduce and prevent violent crime and promote community healing in the Baltimore City Upton/Druid Heights neighborhood by actively engaging a broad coalition of partners, as well as implementing and evaluating an innovative and evidence-informed, multi-pronged prevention strategy that employs credible messengers. #UMSSWResearch
