Assistant professor honored with Baltimore magazine's Excellence in Nursing Award.

Megan Doede, PhD '19, MS '13, RN, assistant professor, has been recognized in Baltimore magazine's ninth annual Excellence in Nursing awards in the Educator category. The awards honor those who "go beyond the call of duty, whether it’s in the ER, a doctor’s office, a retirement facility, research, a school medical office, or any other workplace." The magazine selected 141 nurses spanning 28 specialties throughout the Baltimore region for the honor.

Linda Cook, PhD '05, MS '97, RN, CCNS, ACNP, assistant professor, served as an advisor, giving time and expertise to the selection process. The role of the advisors is to review the hundreds of nominations received in order to identify the winners.

The winners were honored at a gala at the Grand Lodge of Maryland in Cockeysville on May 11.
