Meyer, Wagner, and Hatcher Awarded CARES Grant To Survey Social Workers And Nurses


Megan Meyer, Fernando Wagner and Seante Hatcher, in collaboration with Andrew Coop from the School of Pharmacy and Lynn Bullock from the School of Nursing, were awarded a CARES Science to Systems grant.

 

Their project titled "Addiction and Psychedelic-Assisted Therapies: Knowledge, Attitudes and Training Needs of the Social Work and Nursing Workforces," aims to identify the types of training these two workforces will need to fulfill the promise, and mitigate the risks, of the emerging "psychedelic renaissance" and use of psychedelic-assisted therapy in behavioral health care.
