DNP Nurse Anesthesia student selected to serve as representative to American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology Foundation board.
Shaneisha McMillan, BSN, RN, CCRN, SRNA, a student in the Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthesia specialty, has been selected to serve as the student representative to the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (AANA) Foundation Board of Trustees.
Every other year, the AANA Foundation selects a student to serve on its Board of Trustees.
The student representative has a variety of responsibilities, including recommending policies related to implementing the mission of the foundation, serving as a spokesperson on behalf of the foundation to the student associate members of the AANA, serving on the Fundraising Committee, and serving as a key liaison between the foundation and student advocates who represent the foundation to their nurse anesthesia programs.
