Yvette Conyers, DNP, MS, RN, FNP-C, CTN-B, CFCN, CFCS, assistant professor and associate dean for diversity, equity, and inclusion,  passed her National League for Nursing Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) exam on Aug. 9.

The academic nurse educator certification was created to establish nursing education as a specialty area of practice and create a means for faculty to demonstrate their expertise in this role. It communicates to students, peers, and the academic and health care communities that the highest standards of excellence are being met. By becoming credentialed as a certified nurse educator, faculty serve as leaders and role models. Certification is the mark of distinction for nursing faculty.
