Dr. Corey Shdaimah Named Donna Harrington Exemplary Faculty Mentor 2024


Dr. Shdaimah, LL.B., LL.M., PhD, is the Daniel Thursz Distinguished Professor of Social Justice at the University of Maryland School of Social Work and the Academic Coordinator of the MSW/JD. Dr. Shdaimah uses a variety of qualitative and participatory methods to explore how people try to improve policies as implemented on the ground.

This award is designed to honor Dr. Donna Harrington’s legacy as an outstanding mentor to PhD students and to recognize a faculty member each year who follows in her footsteps by providing exceptional support and guidance to PhD students. All current and former PhD students were encouraged to submit nominations for this award.
