Samantha Fuld, DSW, MSW, LCSW-C, clinical assistant professor from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, Rebecca N. Weston, EdD, MSN, RN, CNE and Patricia Schaefer, DNP, RN, CNE-cl, CHSE, CNE, assistant professors from the University of Maryland School of Nursing, presented at the Alliance for Disability in Health Care Education (ADHCE) Annual Conference on June 20, 2024.

Weston, Schaefer and Fuld presented “Partnering for Progress: Creating Curriculum Modules to Enhance Disability Care Competencies,” where they discussed the collaborative process of developing six asynchronous learning modules and their alignment with the Core Competencies on Disability for Health Care Education and the Health Equity Framework for People with Disabilities.

The Alliance for Disability in Health Care Education is an  organization of health care educators and professionals (e.g., medicine, nursing, public health, social workers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech and language pathologists) who are working to integrate disability-related content and experiences into health care education and training programs.
