Rosemarie DiMauro Satyshur, PhD, RN, is serving as a steering committee member for Maryland's Maternal and Child Health Needs Assessment. Every five years, the Maryland Department of Health looks closely at the health and well-being of Maryland's women, children, and families. This thorough assessment is part of the federally funded Title V Maternal Child Health Block Grant. The role includes reviewing data and information to identify health trends and gaps in services as well as making recommendations to improve public health programs and policies. The goal is to create a more effective and responsive maternal and child health program for all Marylanders.
