Alison M. Trinkoff

Professor awarded National Council of State Boards of Nursing grant.


Alison M. Trinkoff, ScD, MPH, RN, FAAN, professor, has been awarded $300,000 by the National Council of State Boards of Nursing for her research project on the health and work environment of nurses, known as the "Nurse Worklife and Wellness Study."

This will include a survey of registered nurses in 10 states with questions about working conditions and exposures, job demands, and health/wellness behaviors, with results providing critical evidence to guide regulatory changes. The team includes co-investigators Victoria Selby, PhD '17, MS '09, BSN '06, CRNP-PMH, PMHNP-BC, CARN-AP, assistant professor; Carla L. Storr, ScD, professor; Jung Min Yoon, MSN, RN, PhD, student, serving as project director; and input from Kihye Han, PhD '11, RN, adjunct faculty.
