2020 Graduates to Serve as VA Residents in Baltimore and Los Angeles.


Sarah Nesser, DNP '20, RN, and Claire Regan, DNP '20, RN, have been selected to serve in a 12-month Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Residency (PC NPR) program at the Veterans Affairs (VA) Maryland Health Care System in Baltimore, beginning July 2020. This program is supported by the VA's Office of Academic Affiliations, which oversees the PC NPR in collaboration with the VA’s Office of Nursing Services.

Alyson Prince-Shittu, DNP '20, AGPCNP-BC, has been selected to serve as a resident of the Greater Los Angeles VA’s Center of Education for Interprofessional Academic Patient Aligned Care Teams (CoE IA HPACT), a 12-month post-graduate residency program in primary care for homeless veterans, beginning August 2020. CoE IA HPACT educates the next generation of health professionals to care for vulnerable patients in a way that builds patients’ self-efficacy while meeting their social, psychological, and physical needs, with empathy and teamwork.
