Associate professor awarded $300,000 by the American Heart Association Research Committee.


Kelly Doran, PhD, RN, associate professor, has been awarded $300,000 by the American Heart Association Research Committee to fund her research, Worksite Heart Health Improvement Project (WHHIP)-PLUS. To reduce organizational sources of job stress and associated consequences, she adapted the WHHIP and developed the WHHIP-PLUS to address organizational-level causes of job stress through interventions suggested by a stakeholder team. The goal of this study is to test the feasibility and efficacy of WHHIP-PLUS in reducing worker stress and improving cardiovascular disease among long-term care workers.
