Dean Kirschling named Foundation for Academic Nursing Advisory Committee member.
Jane M. Kirschling, PhD, RN, FAAN, dean, has been named a Foundation for Academic Nursing Advisory Committee member by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN). While AACN has been a reliable source for grant funding to schools of nursing over the years, the new foundation will formalize this work and leverage its influence to raise funds to benefit its members and advance the organization’s mission.
AACN is the national voice for academic nursing representing more than 840 schools of nursing nationwide. It establishes quality standards for nursing education, influences the nursing profession to improve health care, and promotes public support of baccalaureate and graduate nursing education, research, and practice.
