PhD candidate earns Chinese government award.
PhD candidate Yanfeng Xu was selected to receive the prestigious Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Chinese Students Abroad. Xu is one of 164 winners in the United States.
This highly competitive award was founded by the China Scholarship Council, Ministry of Education in 2003 with the purpose of rewarding the academic excellence of self-financed Chinese students studying overseas. Only those with outstanding performance in their PhD studies are considered by the award selection panel.
