As part of a large, National Institutes of Health-funded proposal called Communities and Universities Engaged to Fight COVID-19 (CUE COVID-19), the PATIENTS Program has joined a multi-community and multi-university consortium, including University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB), Johns Hopkins University, Howard University, Morgan State University, and George Washington University.

The grant supports opportunities for UMB researchers to receive feedback from PATIENTS Program’s community partners on COVID-19 and related grant proposals to make the proposal more relevant to community members. If you would be interested in presenting your proposal, keep reading.

The words “Think Tank” often bring up an image of a group of people at an upper management level of leadership dictating and guiding policy. The PATIENTS Program’s version of a “Community Think Tank on Research” places community leaders as directing the Think Tank, working with researchers to co-develop culturally appropriate and patient-centered outreach and research efforts.

Would you like to have your research proposal or already funded project vetted by community members?

We are cordially inviting you to submit your work and present to the CUE COVID-19 Community Think Tank on Research.

You can have the opportunity to present in January, February, or March.
