Deadline: April 25, 2022
The Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science (CANS) is now accepting research abstracts for the 2022 State of the Science Congress, Social and Structural Determinants of Health, taking place September 15-17, 2022 at the Grand Hyatt, Washington, D.C. Priority will be given to abstracts that reflect the conference theme. Abstracts should clearly specify how the work contributes to the current state of nursing science.
The 2022 State of the Science Congress on Nursing Research will expand participants’ understanding of the complex relationships between social and structural determinants of health--from biology to policy--and nursing science. These relationships will be explored with respect to advancing health equity.
General Guidelines for Submission of Abstracts
Authors may submit multiple abstracts, including abstracts not directly related to the conference theme. Abstracts for research in progress may be submitted for poster presentation only. Student submissions are encouraged and abstracts reporting literature reviews, systematic reviews, and/or conceptual frameworks related to the conference theme will be considered.
The cost for submitting abstracts for peer review is $90. There is no additional presentation fee if your abstract is accepted. You will also be required to register for the conference in order to present your abstract(s). You can find more information regarding the conference, including the conference registration fees on the conference website.
The online abstract submission process ends at 11:59 PM (EST) on April 25, 2022. The review process will begin in May and announcements are scheduled to take place in June.
