Oct. 20: Building Resiliency at Work With Self-Care| 1 p.m.| Webex

The World Health Organization defines self-care as “what people do for themselves to establish and maintain health and to prevent and deal with illness.” If you’re looking to improve overall well-being, it is vital to bring self-care into the workplace. Attend this workshop and develop an understanding of stress and the importance of self-care. Learn ways to build resiliency by practicing self-care at work. Presented by the Employee Assistance Program.

Oct. 24: In Our Own Voice| 11 a.m. | Zoom

NAMI In Our Own Voice presentations change attitudes, assumptions, and ideas about people with mental health conditions. Two volunteers with lived experience talk openly about what it's like to live with a mental health condition. Audience members are encouraged to come with questions and engage in conversation with the panelists.

Disclaimer: NAMI volunteers are trained to share their personal mental health journeys to lower the risk of trauma to audience members and themselves. However, presenters may share personal details surrounding their mental health condition including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation that may be upsetting to some audience members.
