In this presentation, Kerri Evans, PhD, MSW, will discuss a variety of barriers that immigrant students face in K-12 schools in the United States. She will then share some promising practices of services that can help immigrant students nationally and in Baltimore. She will conclude by talking about an emerging project and intervention that is designed to help local schools meet some of these needs within their own school or district.
