Leaders in Education: Academy of Presidential Scholars: Advancing Visionary Education
Leaders in Education: Academy of Presidential Scholars (LEAPS) is a new initiative supporting the educational priorities outlined by University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) President Bruce E. Jarrell, MD, FACS, and seeking to recognize and advance the achievements of educators in each UMB school.
By developing faculty members’ skills and knowledge as educational thought leaders and scholars, UMB and its schools will strengthen existing educational programs, develop novel educational methods, and advance educational innovations and scholarship.
Be sure to visit the new LEAPS website at umaryland.edu/leaps, a key resource for faculty engaged in educational activities at UMB. The website soon will provide resources to connect faculty with professional development, mentorship, and community-building opportunities to advance their careers. The LEAPS website also will connect faculty with intramural and extramural funding opportunities to produce scholarly work in education.
