May 24: The Power of Taking Time for Yourself — Do you sometimes (or often) feel overwhelmed by your daily responsibilities? Life can be so fast paced while juggling your many roles that you may forget to practice self-care. This presentation will discuss the importance of self-care and will offer ways to incorporate meaningful and easy self-care strategies.
June 21: The Power of Social Support — Social support means having friends and other people, including family, to turn to in times of need or crisis to give you a broader focus and positive self-image. Social support enhances the quality of your life and provides a buffer against adverse life events. Learn more about the power of social support and ways to enhance your social support system.
July 19: The Power of Resilience — Do you ever feel like you are in a meteor shower, dodging meteors left and right? Yet, despite your efforts, a meteor sometimes strikes. Resilience is the ability to recover when that happens. Learn the power of resilience and gain the ability to achieve greater balance, confidence, and personal strength to handle any meteor coming your way.
Aug. 16: The Power of Talk Therapy — Talk therapy can help us identify and reflect on situations in our lives that can be challenging. Talk therapy provides a way, with a trained therapist, to learn more about patterns in our lives that may benefit from examination to understand why the patterns repeat. Talk therapy can lead us to make changes that enhance healthy behavior, such as improving relationships, expressing emotions better, doing better at work or school, and thinking more positively.
