The Employee Value Proposition (EVP) Committee of the University of Maryland, Baltimore’s (UMB) Future of Work Task Force is conducting listening sessions to hear from all faculty and staff about their experiences and ideas regarding their employment experience and future at UMB.

The EVP sessions are hybrid and will be held Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 (supervisors only) — and the committee has a simple request for attendees:

Come prepared to answer questions about topics including but not limited to:

  • Job security, career advancement, retention, compensation, and benefits
  • Flexible hours and hybrid work schedules
  • UMB’s mission, culture, core values, and diversity efforts
  • Best aspects and main concerns about your employment
  • Technology, training, and resources

An EVP represents an organization’s efforts to attract, retain, and engage employees. It represents everything of value that an employer provides to its employees and is about defining what sets the organization apart from others.

During these sessions, information will be collected anonymously and used by the committee and task force to inform recommendations about changes UMB needs to make to attract, retain, and engage employees.
