Presented by Jon Mark Hirshon, MD, PhD, MPH, FACEP, professor in the Unviersity of Maryland School of Medicine Departments of Emergency Medicine and Epidemiology and Public Health; Chief, Emergency Department, Baltimore VA; and Senior Vice-Chair, of the UMB Institutional Review Board. Dr. Hirshon will be discussing informed consent within the context of vulnerable populations as well as use of assents and short form consents in human subjects research.
