Staff Senate Community Outreach Fund: Cold Weather Drive
February 09, 2022In partnership with the UMB Police Department and the UMSON Staff Council Community Engagement Committee, UMB Staff Senate is collecting donations for the assembly and distribution of cold weather kits and supplies for our community members who are experiencing homelessness. Due to COVID-19 safety protocols, this drive is virtual. Items such as hats, gloves, socks, hand sanitizer, granola bars, soap, hand/foot warmers, emergency blankets, feminine hygiene products, face masks, and other supplies will be purchased from the donations raised. We hope that with your support we can assemble more than 100 kits for our community members experiencing homelessness.
Donations are being accepted now through March 1 and will be used to purchase supplies for the kits.
Any contributions made or remaining after items are purchased will be used for future Staff Senate community outreach projects.
