The Conway Chair Conversation is a program developed to create a space and forum to promote intentional dialogue about research, research translation, and ideas that can be used to enrich ongoing research at Children’s National as well as encourage future research endeavors. The interdisciplinary conversation about research has been made possible by this opportunity that includes participating disciplines and roles.

We are particularly interested in including the graduate nurse and faculty perspectives into our Conway Chair Conversations each month. If any one or more of this year’s topics interest you, and you would like to find out more about participating, please indicate what dates and topics are of interest. We will then contact you to tell you more about our program.

First TUESDAYS of each month at 12:30 p.m.

  • Jan. 3: ‘Can We Implement a Study in an Emergency Department without Creating Emergencies for Each Other?’
  • Feb. 7: ‘How to Ask Patients, Caregivers and Clinicians about Racism in Pediatric Care? Risks of Asking, Risks of Not Asking?’
  • March 7: ‘Changing Human Behavior in Medical Care – When, With Whom & How?’
  • April 4: ‘When a Pressing Issue Cannot Wait for Research’
