The University of Maryland, Baltimore annually requires students, faculty, and staff to complete one or more trainings.
Students:
Title IX
Title IX Training is provided through the Student Success by Vector Solutions Primary Prevention Program, which is an interactive online program designed to increase awareness and provide education on preventing sexual misconduct, including sexual assault, dating or domestic violence, and stalking. All students must complete their designated training by Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022.
Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention
Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Education is provided through Vector Solutions, and addresses a variety of topics, including the science of addiction, recognizing the signs of abuse, properly using and disposing of prescription drugs, strategies to assist others, and treatment resources. All first-time, full-time students are required to complete the online Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention module by Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022. All other students will receive the module as an optional resource.
Students will receive separate email messages for the Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Education and Title IX trainings during the week of Aug. 15 containing the log-in information for each training. More information regarding these two training requirements can be found on the UMB Student Affairs website.

Title IX
Title IX Training through Safe Colleges is an interactive online program designed to increase awareness, provide information on rights and responsibilities under Title IX, common definitions and understanding of what constitutes misconduct, and information on how to report and respond when misconduct is experienced or observed.
Sexual Harassment Training
As state of Maryland employees, we are required to complete training that addresses sexual harassment. The training provides critical information to help our community identify and prevent sexual harassment to build a more respectful and positive working and learning environment.
Non-Discrimination Training
The University of Maryland, Baltimore does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin or ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, physical or mental disability, marital status, protected veteran's status, or age in its programs and activities. The training provides awareness and understanding of discrimination to promote a culture that reflects inclusivity and respect for all.
Faculty and staff can access these trainings through the UMB Learning Management System.
All faculty and staff must complete their designated training by Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022.
