The Maryland Higher Education Commission is hosting a virtual CNE Workshop on Friday, Sept. 9, 2022, 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Led by Dr. Diane Billings, the workshop offers a comprehensive review of the major content areas of the National League for Nursing's Certified Nurse Educator exam. Attendees can assess their readiness for the exam and identify practice domains where further study is needed. The CNE credential is a mark of distinction and excellence in the specialty practice of nurse education.

Enrollment in the workshop requires nomination by the Dean. Interested faculty should carefully review the eligibility criteria for qualifying to take the CNE exam here, or on the National League for Nursing website. To be nominated for the workshop, contact your department chair well in advance of the Sept. 6 deadline. Self-nominations will not be accepted by MHEC.

Faculty successfully completing the CNE exam may be eligible in the future for MHEC's Academic Nurse Educator Certification Award which provides up to $5,000 for achieving initial certification or renewal of the CNE credential.
