A few of the women involved in the current and previous cohorts of the UMBrella Coaching Program recently toured the University of Maryland, Baltimore's (UMB) Community Engagement Center (CEC). It was a great opportunity for them to meet in person as the program’s activities for the past two years have been mostly virtual.

The CEC tour is now an annual outing for program participants to learn more about UMB’s investment in West Baltimore.

The CEC’s director, Tyrone Roper, MSW, led the tour, sharing a bit of the building’s history and an in-depth overview of the CEC’s mission to support its neighbors. The group got a glimpse of the three floors of space and all the center has to offer to the community, including support services, access to technology, and programming for all ages.
