The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is all new for the 2024-2025 academic year and includes the biggest changes to the form and process in decades. Set for a delayed launch in December 2023, the FAFSA will be a shorter and simpler form, with increased eligibility for federal Pell Grants and a reduction in students selected by Federal Student Aid for the process of verification.
These changes will allow more students access to the financial aid they need to finance their education.
University Student Financial Assistance at UMB will let you know as soon as the 2024-2025 FAFSA becomes available. We will keep our priority filing date as March 1 and will host sessions to assist any student with completing the FAFSA beginning January 2024.
