Yvette Conyers

It is with a great deal of enthusiasm that we announce that Yvette Conyers, DNP, MS, RN, FNP-C, CTN-B, CFCN, CFCS, will be joining UMSON as the associate dean for equity, diversity, and inclusion, with a faculty appointment as an assistant professor, Teaching Excellence tenure-track, in the Department of Family and Community Health.

Dr. Conyers brings extensive experience in various diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, which will benefit UMSON as well as the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She has held faculty appointments at the George Washington University School of Nursing in Washington, D.C.; the St. John Fisher University Wegmans School of Nursing in New York; and the University of Rochester School of Nursing in New York.

Dr. Conyers is a 2022 American Association of Colleges of Nursing Diversity Leadership Institute Fellow. She earned a DNP and a Family Nurse Practitioner post-master's certificate from St. John Fisher University, a master's in nursing education from Roberts Wesleyan College in New York, an RN-to-BSN from the University of Rochester, and an Associate in Applied Science degree in nursing from Monroe Community College in New York.

Dr. Conyers' first day at UMSON will be June 5.
