Faculty of Color Network Lunch

Time: Lunch at noon, program from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

Location: Dr. Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry, 31 S. Greene St.

Diane Forbes Berthoud, PhD, MA, and the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, in collaboration with President Bruce E. Jarrell, MD, FACS, and the Office of the Provost, invite you to the Spring Faculty of Color Network Lunch.

There will be a special presentation from Laundette P. Jones, PhD, MPH, Associate Professor, EPH Preventive Medicine, Interim Co-Director, Program in Health Equity and Population Health Association Director, STAR-PREP (Postbaccalaureate Research and Education Program), University of Maryland School of Medicine, who will share her insights on a health equity and a participatory research model she has developed.  

Grounded in research on faculty equity, climate, and advancement, the UMB Faculty of Color Network has been created to support the recruitment, retention, and overall success of faculty from underrepresented groups.     

This network, specifically for those who identify as faculty of color, will provide opportunities for community building, knowledge sharing, faculty mentoring, support, and collaboration.
