The words Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month, September 15 - October 15 are written on a background of blue, red, yellow, and green threads.

Join the Intercultural Center as we honor and celebrate the contributions of Hispanic/Latinx communities at UMB and beyond!

Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month is celebrated each year from Sept. 15 through to Oct. 15. The start date of Sept. 15 is significant because it is the anniversary of independence for several Latin American countries, including El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. Additionally, Chile and Mexico celebrate their anniversaries of independence in September.
