The new artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT, created by Open AI, has the potential to be one of the most transformative technologies in education. To learn more about this AI tool and its potential impact for you and your students, please join the Online Teaching Community at noon Friday, Feb. 3. We will learn about the challenges and opportunities of this technology in our classrooms from Dr. Isabell May, associate professor in the Graduate School, and Erin Hagar, manager of professional development and education in the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning. This session will be applicable to all types of learning environments (e.g., online, face-to-face, and hybrid).

The Online Teaching Community is a peer-based resource group for all those who teach online or want to learn how to do so. The purpose is to share creative teaching ideas, best practices and policies, and ideas for research in online teaching. The group is interaction based and the content we discuss is up to you — so bring your questions and issues, and the tips and tricks you’ve learned along the way, too! In each meeting, our aim is to address a specific topic, as well as any questions and issues group members bring to the table that week. We want to keep this relevant and helpful to you as you are engaging in your professional activities.
