Congratulations to our graduating Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) students who took home Poster Day awards at the UMSON CNL Poster Day on May 2, 2023. During Poster Day, graduating CNL students showcased their evidence-based project work and answered questions about their work.

  • Nicole Caballero, "Earlier Suicide Screening for Pediatric Patients," won the Florence Guiness Blake Award for scholarship in pediatric nursing
  • Olivia Cowie, "Exercise as an Adjunct to Treatment in Elderly Patients with Major Depressive Disorder," won the Dorothea Dix Award for scholarship in mental health nursing 
  • Cheyenne Joyner, "Efficacy of Nasal Bridles on Securing Nasoenteric Feeding Tubes in Critically Ill Patients," won the Luther Christman Award for scholarship in acute care nursing
  • Elizabeth Tali Kosowsky, "Reducing Readmission Rates: Hospital at Home," won the Clara Barton Award for scholarship in prevention of readmission 
  • Hannah Ravenscroft, "The Use of Patient Simulation to Enhance Culturally Competent Care for Transgender Persons," won the Florence Nightingale Award for scholarship in nursing workforce issues
  • Melodie Nordin, "Early Integrated Palliative Care to Improve Quality of Life for Advanced Cancer Patients," won the Virginia Henderson Award for scholarship in outpatient nursing
  • Tehilla Stein, "Reducing Postpartum Depression in Post Cesarean Section Women Using Intravenous Ketamine," won the Mary Breckinridge Award for scholarship in women’s health nursing
  • Rasheda Dukhin, "Utility of Ask Suicide Screening Questionnaire (ASQ) to Identify Adolescents at Risk for Suicide," won the Esther McCready Award for scholarship in nursing for social justice 
  • Amanda Vazquez, "Safe and Effective Medication Assisted Therapy for Opioid Use Disorders in Pregnancy," won the Vanguard Award, awarded by peers for academic excellence
