University of Maryland Diagnostic Imaging Associates offers quick appointment availability for students and staff on campus for X-ray, CT, ultrasound, PET/MRI services, and more. Our state-of-the-art equipment and specialty trained reading physicians can accurately evaluate and detect the full spectrum of medical concerns, including:
- Recurrent headaches, stroke, brain tumors, epilepsy, and decreased mental status
- Aortic aneurysm and dissection
- Initial staging of cancer and assessment of treatment effectiveness
- Irregular vaginal bleeding and pain, and first-, second-, and third-trimester OB screenings
- Masses and enlarged lymph nodes in the ears, nose, throat, and neck
- Bone disease and orthopaedic conditions
We're one of only six institutions in the country and the only one regionally with a PET/MRI machine. Installed in 2019, our technology can detect abnormal findings that PET/CT misses in more than 50 percent of patients scanned, and it exposes patients to 50 percent less radiation.
Walk-in (with referral) or call ahead for X-ray. CT testing is available same/next day for most patients, and our machine accommodates patients up to 900 pounds. MRI services are available within one week and can accommodate patients up to 500 pounds.
