There has been a recent increase in mulch fires on and around campus, according to the UMB Office of the Fire Marshal. For the safety of our UMB community, we ask all students and employees to practice fire safety:
- Only smoke in designated smoking areas.
- Completely extinguish cigarette butts before discarding them.
- Never throw cigarette butts on the ground.
