Student Health wants to share UMB’s updated COVID-19 vaccine requirements and exposure and isolation guidance for students. Students who are not subject to UMB’s COVID-19 vaccine requirements are strongly encouraged to stay up to date with their COVID-19 vaccine. FDA- or WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective and protect against serious illness, hospitalization, and death. Information on the benefits and safety of the COVID-19 vaccine can be found here. To self-schedule your COVID-19 vaccine or other immunization updates with Student Health, click here

As a reminder, Student Health’s Vaccine Clinic offers a wide range of immunizations to protect against diseases such as measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, tetanus diphtheria and pertussis, hepatitis B, hepatitis A, polio, human papilloma virus, meningococcal, pneumococcal, COVID-19, and influenza. Students may need some of these immunizations to satisfy UMB’s immunization requirements. Student Health also provides screening to all students for immunization titers as needed. Bloodwork can be drawn at the University of Maryland Pathology Associates on campus. At all times, CDC guidance is utilized for all vaccine requirements in schools. Student Health also provides screening for tuberculosis using CDC guidelines for blood tests, imaging, and prophylaxis. Student Health also offers care for all students who have exposures during clinical or community rotations, as well as during community-based experiential activities.

The Student Health Center is open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday; calling ahead is strongly encouraged (667-214-2233, SHealth@som.umaryland.edu). Student Health is housed in University of Maryland Campus Health, 408 W. Lombard St., Baltimore.
