The words

In 2016, President Barack Obama declared that June of each year will be known as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month. Join the Intercultural Center as we celebrate Pride with events that will focus on LGBTQ+ education, community building, and best practices for professionals!

Rainbow capitalism, the act of using or adding rainbow colors and/or imagery to indicate progressive support for LGBTQ+ equality, but with little to no actual effort or result for the community, is nobody's friend. Come join Stonewall Pride, the LGBTQ+ staff and faculty affinity group, and the UMB Intercultural Center to make your own do-it-yourself, personalized Pride buttons, learn more about local and LGBTQ+-owned businesses, and say a big "heck no" to rainbow capitalism this Pride month.
