We invite you to join one of our interactive workshops to learn more about using Thai boxing as a healing tool for trauma and the launch of our pilot research study.

The presenters during the sessions at 10:30 a.m., Aug. 30 and Sept. 6 are Lynn Murphy Michalopoulos, PhD, associate professor at the University of Maryland School of Social Work (UMSSW), and Darnell Andrews, Muay Thai coach.

The workshop will consist of a presentation on the potential benefits of Thai boxing as an adjunct to talk therapy for trauma survivors and discussion of the pilot program, an interactive group lesson where you will learn basic offensive and defensive Thai boxing movements, and a question-and-answer and feedback period.

The sessions will be held at the Universities at Shady Grove (USG), Building IV, Room 4137.

Please preregister for a session; walk-ins are welcome as space permits.
