This virtual event on Jan. 25, noon - 2 p.m., is hosted by the UMSON Office of Diversity and Inclusion. Facilitated by the UMB Intercultural Center, the Poverty Simulation raises critical awareness of poverty and how it shapes the lives of low-income families. Participants will engage in dialogue with the goal to unpack our beliefs and shift the paradigm of poverty as a result of individual failure to a structural problem of our society.
